Abutilon Megapotamicum, belonging to Malvaceae, thrives on a warm wall about London. The leaves are small and acuminate, the flowers bell shaped, red and yellow, and borne freely in summer. It came from Brazil in 1864.

Abutilon vitifulium makes a magnificent bush 10 or 15 feet high and 6 or 8 feet through, in the south-west counties. The leaves are large and handsome, the flowers blue, and produced in profusion from May to July. There is a variety with white flowers. Chili, 1837.
