Bruckenthalia spiculifolia

A pretty, dwarf, Heath-like shrub belonging to the Ericaceae, which grows only a few inches high, and makes a compact mass, bearing, in May and June, short spikes of small, whitish flowers. It is an excellent subject for the rock garden, thrives in sandy peat, and is increased by cuttings, seeds, and divisions.
