Eucryphia pinnatifolia. - A very showy evergreen shrub from Chili, belonging to the Rosaceae. It grows 15 to 20 feet high, and bears large, white, Rose-like flowers in July. Very few really fine specimens are to be found. It thrives best in peaty soil. It was introduced about 1880, and is increased by seeds or layers.
