Fern Plants suited for Dry-Wall
Ferns suited for Dry-Wall gardening:
Asplenium ebeneum (Ebony Spleenwort). - Shady places,
Asplenium trichomanes (Dwarf Spleenwort). - will thrive in shady places with little soil; 3-6 in. long.
Camptosorus rhizophyllus. - will survive drought.
Polypodium vulgare (Common Polypody) ; 3-6 in.
Woodsia ilvensis; 6-12 in. - Will grow on dry, exposed rocks.
Mixed with the Ferns in a soil rich in leaf mould native plants such as the Jack-in-the-pulpit, wild Geraniums, and Hepaticas.
