Wooden Garden Gates

If one is fortunate enough to have a Colonial house there is nothing that will add to its old-time flavour more than the graceful urns fitted on top of the Colonial gateposts. The gate should be connected with a stately old wooden fence, and beyond, a garden rich in dignity and blooming in season with old-fashioned flowers.

An architect should be consulted for the construction of the fence and gate, but the advice of a practical gardener should be sought for the list of plants for both gate and hedge.
